Space Launch Delta 45 - Range Coordination Modernization

As the operational backbone of the Eastern Range, Space Launch Delta 45 manages thousands of communications across flight, range, and weather networks for every launch. Echo C2 AI was integrated to modernize voice coordination — transcribing live radio traffic, identifying critical phrases, and alerting controllers to mission-sensitive events in real time. The system delivers continuous situational awareness by linking voice channels with telemetry and range control data, helping the Delta’s teams streamline coordination and reduce delays across multiple mission consoles.
1st Range Operations Squadron - AI-Augmented Console Operations
Pilot-to-Operational Transition / SBIR Phase III Award
The 1st Range Operations Squadron (1 ROPS) plays a key role in ensuring safe, coordinated range activities during launches. Echo C2 AI’s Agentic AI engine was integrated directly into the console workflow to assist operators with tagging key events, highlighting anomalies, and surfacing mission-relevant insights in real time. During early operations, Echo enabled one controller to handle the workload that traditionally required two or three — reducing fatigue and improving responsiveness under pressure. The system continues to evolve through operator feedback and mission-driven refinement.
2nd Range Operations Squadron - AI-Augmented Console Operations
Live Evaluation & Optimization Phase / SBIR Phase III Awarded
The 2nd Space Launch Squadron (2SLS) is responsible for managing telemetry, vehicle health, and readiness tracking during launch events. Echo C2 AI was deployed to connect voice communications with telemetry data feeds in real time, enabling controllers to see how voice callouts align with data anomalies or system status updates. This integration improved both situational context and cross-team coordination during flight readiness reviews and live telemetry operations, creating a unified “voice-to-data” picture for mission control.
Exercises & Evaluations
USSF Exercise Participation
Echo C2 AI is continuously evaluated during live operations and pre-launch simulations within Space Launch Delta 45 and subordinate squadrons.
These evaluations act as real-world performance tests, validating Echo’s AI transcription accuracy, event detection, and coordination capabilities under operational conditions.
Results from ongoing missions have provided measurable data on operator efficiency, communication accuracy, and situational awareness improvements.
While not yet part of a formal named Space Force exercise (e.g., Space Flag or Schriever Wargame), these live tests offer equivalent operational rigor.
Future participation is being discussed for Space Systems Command evaluations and Space Flag training events, expanding Echo’s role in the modernization of Space Force C2 environments.
